Things to See in
Portland City
Lights: The best view of the Portland skyline at night is
from the 30th floor of "Big Pink" (aka the US Bank
Tower). Here, the Portland City Grill offers a breathtaking
panoramic view of Portland's lights with its wall to wall windows
(the Grill also offer drinks
and food). Portlandia:
An icon of Portland, the statue of Portlandia on the third floor
of the Portland Building is based on a female figure pictured in
the city's seal. She is the second largest hammered copper statue
in the United States (the largest being the Statue of Liberty).
Benson
Bubblers: These four-bowled public water fountains are
scattered through downtown Portland. Portland
Convention Center: Unique architecture Pioneer
Courthouse Square: Oftentimes called the "Portland's
Living Room", Pioneer Courthouse Square usually attracts a
myriad of people at different times. Lunchtime during the week is
probably its busiest time with a mixture of business people eating
lunch, musicians performing and people of all ages just hanging
out. |
